      You should try this delicious Fried Koay Teow when you come to Taiping. Fireworks Char Koay Teow was located at Simpang and is manned by an 84 years old old hawker chef - Mr. Loh Hua Soon. Mr. Loh has been at this spot since 1972 and 47 years of frying Koay Teow. He fries this Char Koay Teow over a charcoal fire and controls the flame with his own makeshift rotary fan which caused the sparks. Also, he earned his stall the nickname of Fireworks Char Koay Teow for this reason. His skill and dexterity as he churns out a plate of Char Koay Teow are quite mesmerizing to watch. Many customers come near to his work station and watch the sizzling wok in action, enthralled by this spectacle.
