VISIT KUALA SANGGA FISHING VILLAGE

Kuala Sannga (老港渔村) is a tiny little fishing village that 30 minutes of boat ride away from Kuala Sepetang. This village was established in the 1890s and today it has about 40 to 50 families living in this village. In this village, fishing is one of the main sources of income for the villagers. Despite being so small, this village has one temple, one church, one primary school, one altar, and one Kopitiam. Kuala Sannga’s houses are typically built on stilt, while necessities such as water and electricity are not available. Surprisingly, the villagers still survive on rainwater and every household has its generator to generate electricity.
