          Taiping Lake Gardens is one of the oldest natural and beautiful public gardens in Malaysia. The gardens were opened in 1884, earning them a place in the history books as the first public garden in then-Malaya. Also, it is a very popular tourist attraction among visitors due to its natural beauty. The gardens were originally an abandoned tin mining area which was converted into a beautiful and peaceful recreational.
 
   The gardens have eight natural beauty lakes and ponds, a lotus pool, charming bridges, tracks for jogging and reflexology. The Lake Gardens were surrounded by Tropical plants, flowers trees, and wildlife. Also, there have many activities in Taiping Lake Gardens such as jogging, cycling, picnic, children's playground, water bubble ball, and paddle boat.
 
     The original size of the park was 61.93ha but after additional acquisition but after additional acquisition by the Perak Government, it is now located on a 96.44ha site. It is fully administered by the Taiping Municipal Council, which also runs the Taiping Zoo located within the park.
