      Lian Thong Restaurant (联通茶室) is a one of the oldest halal kopitiams in Taiping and it is an old style kopitiam serving delicious traditional food. When you sit in this place, you will feel nostalgic due to you will saw the wooden chairs palced randomly in a green walled room with mosaic tiles. Also, this place will earn your respect in a unique way when you will find several senior citizens as waiters. It is a very good experience that just sit on the classic wooden straight-backed seats as you just don’t see them much anymore. Beside that, you can’t find any porks here due to more than half its customers are Malay-Muslims.
